Richard Murphy (accountant)

Richard Murphy is a chartered accountant, the founder of the Tax Justice Network and the TUC on taxation and economic issues, and a columnist for The Guardian and Forbes.com. He is also the director of Tax Research LLP.[1]

Public policy

Murphy is a prominent promoter of financial reform, with specific emphasis given to tax avoidance/evasion.

Murphy advocates "country by country reporting", as a means to increase financial transparency in order to reduce tax avoidance and evasion.[2][3]

Murphy advocates the Green New Deal.
